Consumer products for export
Consumer products for export are packaged in LYSI's factory in Reykjavik. They are either sold under the LYSI brand or under the customer's private label. Customers are located in the United States, Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Denmark, Russia, Germany and the Netherlands, to name a few. In addition, new markets are opening up in the Middle East and Asia.
Bulk products for export
The primary bulk products exported by LYSI are cod liver oil, omega-3 fish oil, cod oil, tuna oil, salmon oil, shark liver oil, fish oil concentrates and liver meal. These are sold to manufacturers in over 70 countries, including the United Kingdom, India, Germany, France, United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, China, Russia and Norway.
Domestic market
Although LYSI is first and foremost an exporting company, with sales to almost 70 countries, the company has also developed an important home market in Iceland. LYSI has a market share of over 50% on the Icelandic health foods market, with various consumer products offered for sale in local stores and supermarkets.
The domestic market plays an essential role for LYSI, as a benchmark, testing ground and research site.
