LYSI‘s laboratory shows good results

The laboratory regularly takes part in international comparison programs for laboratories usually with good results.
LYSI runs its own laboratory for the chemical analysis of fish oils. The tests carried out include determination of fatty acid composition and vitamins.
The laboratory regularly participates in inter-laboratory ring-tests with laboratories from other countries. It has for years taken part in the Smalley program, which is organised by the American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS). In this program marine oils are tested for levels of different fatty and other parameters important for fish oils. In 2009 LYSI‘s laboratory ended up in 2nd to 3rd place, a quite conclusive outcome.
