LYSI begins offering FoS-certified omega-3 oil

LYSI has now been accredited as a supplier under the Friend of the Sea sustainability program.
This means that LYSI can now offer omega-3 products under the FoS program. Prior to that LYSI had been offering omega-3 oils certified by the IFFO program (www.iffo.net), which certifies a number of crude oil producers in South America. The FoS, on the other hand, certifies products from accredited producers in Morocco (see www.friendofthesea.org).
A growing number of customers are looking for sustainable products where maximum sustainable yield is achieved through the management of resources, selective fishing methods, and so on. Other important factors are also covered, such as energy efficiency and social impact.
